Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about junk removal and dump trailer rentals before you book.
Sizing & “What’s a Yard?”
How do I know what size I need?
A cubic yard is roughly the size of a standard washing machine. To give you a sense of scale: a refrigerator is about 2 yards, a full pickup truck bed holds about 2.5 yards, and our 10-yard trailer holds roughly 4 pickup truck loads. Not sure where your job lands? Send us a few photos and we’ll size it for you — no pressure.
What sizes do your dump trailers come in?
We offer 10-yard and 20-yard dump trailers. For bigger jobs, we can swap a full 20-yarder for an empty one mid-project — which means we can handle 30- to 40-yard jobs that most people assume require a giant roll-off dumpster.
What if I have a really big job?
No problem. We bring a 20-yard trailer, you fill it, we swap it for an empty one and haul the full trailer away — usually back within about 90 minutes. You get roll-off-sized capacity without a roll-off sitting in your driveway or blocking traffic.
Pricing
How do you charge?
Junk removal is priced by volume — the cubic yard. Trailer rentals are a flat weekly rate. Either way, we give you the full price upfront before any work starts. The number we quote is the number you pay.
Are there hidden fees?
No. Drop-off, setup, disposal, and pickup are all included in your quote. Some companies tack on disposal charges or fuel surcharges afterward — we don’t. What we quote is what you pay.
How long is a rental period?
A week with us is a full 7 days, not 5 business days. If you need the trailer longer, we charge a small daily rate after that — just let us know and we’ll work it out.
What’s included in the base price for a trailer rental?
Our standard rate covers up to 15 yards of disposal. If your job looks like it’ll push beyond that, we’ll let you know upfront so there are no surprises at pickup.
What We Can & Can’t Take
What can you take?
Household junk and clutter, furniture, appliances, yard waste, wood and lumber, and limited concrete. We handle the full range of junk removal jobs, from a single couch to a full property cleanout. If you’re not sure about a specific item, just ask — we’re happy to tell you.
What can’t go in the trailer?
For safety and landfill compliance, we can’t accept: aerosols, paints, liquids, gasoline, oil, chemicals, asbestos-containing materials, tires, or batteries. If you have one of these and aren’t sure where to take it, give us a call and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Do you take appliances and furniture?
Yes. We’ll take beds, couches, refrigerators, washers, dryers, and other appliances. The one thing we don’t typically do is move large heavy items from deep inside a home — like pulling a fridge out of a finished basement — since that changes the scope and usually takes two people to do safely. But ask us, and we’ll tell you exactly what’s possible for your situation.
Service & Scheduling
What areas do you serve?
We serve Southeast Michigan and the top three counties of Northwest Ohio — including Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Canton, Westland, Plymouth, Novi, Northville, Brighton, Monroe, Toledo, and Sylvania. Not sure if we reach you? Send us your zip and we’ll let you know.
How soon can you come out?
We move fast. Most customers want service within a day or two, and we do our best to make that happen. Submit a quote request and we’ll get back to you quickly to nail down a time.
Do you do the work, or do I?
Both options are on the table. You can rent a dump trailer and load it yourself on your own schedule, or we can handle full-service removal and do all the heavy lifting. We’re one-stop — your call on which works better for your job.
Are you insured?
Yes, we’re fully insured.
